Parking Lots and Garages

Outdoor parking lots can benefit from timer controlled light reduction programs during times of low activity. Lights can be activated with “dusk to dawn” sensors. Then, after normal working hours when employees have left, say, by 9:00 pm, light levels can be reduced for the remainder of the evening. This nighttime lower level can be quickly returned to full brightness with motion detectors for safety/security reasons if desired.

Warehouses, Factories and Distribution Centres

Warehouses are often kept at full luminance 24 hours a day, when, in actuality, they are used only intermittently. If the occupancy times are predictable, the light level can be controlled by time clock. If the usage is sporadic, the light level can be controlled with motion detectors. Skylights can also add light during the day and lighting levels can be reduced with photo sensors in proportion to the amount of natural light contributed available.

Car Dealerships

For hockey games the System may be set at 20% energy saving but for recreational skating or ice cleaning periods a reduction of energy of up to 40% is available.
